Cookies

Last updated: juni 11, 2026

Like almost every online store, Foljare uses cookies — small text files stored in your browser — to make the site work and to understand how it's used. This page explains exactly which kinds we use and how you can control them.

1. What cookies are

A cookie is a small piece of data a website stores in your browser so it can remember things between page loads — like what's in your cart. Cookies set by us are called first-party cookies; cookies set by services we use (such as payment providers) are third-party cookies.

2. Cookies we use

Strictly necessary

These are required for the store to function and can't be switched off:

  • Cart & session cookies (WooCommerce) — remember your cart contents and keep your checkout session alive.
  • Login cookies (WordPress) — keep you signed in to your account dashboard, if you have one.
  • Security cookies — protect forms and checkout against abuse.

Functional

  • Order widget draft — remembers your in-progress order (handle, amounts, selections) so you don't lose it if the page reloads.
  • Support chat session — keeps your support conversation going as you move between pages.
  • Preference cookies — remember small choices such as a dismissed banner or popup so we don't show it again.

Payment & anti-fraud (third party)

Our payment providers set their own cookies during checkout to process your payment securely and prevent fraud. These are governed by the providers' own privacy policies.

3. What we don't do

We don't use cookies to sell your data, build advertising profiles of you on other sites, or track you across the web.

4. Managing cookies

You can delete or block cookies at any time in your browser settings (usually under Privacy or Site Settings). Keep in mind that blocking the strictly necessary cookies will break core features — the cart, checkout and login won't work without them. Instructions for the most common browsers:

  • Chrome: Settings → Privacy and security → Cookies and other site data
  • Safari: Preferences → Privacy → Manage Website Data
  • Firefox: Settings → Privacy & Security → Cookies and Site Data
  • Edge: Settings → Cookies and site permissions

5. Changes to this policy

If we start using new categories of cookies we'll update this page. The "Last updated" date at the top always reflects the current version.
